Fundraiser Bottle Drive raises $1300

Sooke Meals on Wheels would like to thank everyone for making our first Fundraiser Bottle Drive last Sunday, May 24th a success!

Special thanks to:

• Sooke Food Bank for the loan of a shelter
• Marie-Ann Davidson and Jarvis Seabrook for all the supplies, guidance, and tips and tricks, as well as great help on bottle drive day
• Our volunteer group on the day of worked very hard, with humour, including:
  • Mike and Lynne Greer
  • Linda Gabriel
  • Sandra Sherman and friend Sam
  • Pat and Dee Pettifer for all the pregame empties and work
• Bruce the terrific Alpine/GFL driver, who stayed all day and was very helpful and supportive
• So many friends, family, clients and volunteers for their empties
• And of course the amazing community of Sooke for their support

These funds help Sooke Meals on Wheels achieve our mission of delivering hot meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to those who are unable to provide meals for themselves due to physical, mental or medical limitations.
